Our journey on this planet would not have been possible without the green energy wizards – the plants! With their ingenious invention, photosynthesis, they transformed sunlight into food and oxygen, paving the way for human existence. Cheers to our green companions, who have not only kept us alive but also shaped our evolution!

Inspired by this fascinating interconnection, Carolin Loebbert is presenting her latest series of artworks, STEP OUT. This title carries a dual meaning: on one hand, it highlights the crucial role that plants—and nature as a whole—have played in creating a biosphere from which humanity could emerge. On the other hand, it is an urgent call for us to step out of a system that is accelerating the destruction of these ecosystems. The biosphere is the foundation of our existence.

STEP OUT invites you to reflect on our relationship with nature and rethink the way we interact with the world that sustains us.

私たちがこの惑星で生きてこられたのは、緑の魔術師である植物のエネルギーのおかげです。光合成という独創的な発明によって、彼らは太陽光を食料と酸素に変え、人類の生存への道を切り開いてきました。私たちを生かしてきただけでなく、私たちの進化を形づくってきた緑の仲間たちに乾杯。

この魅惑的な相互関係に触発され、カロライン・ロバートは最新の作品シリーズ「STEP OUT」を発表します。このタイトルには2つの意味が込められています。一つは、植物そして自然全体が人類が生存する上での生物圏を創造する上で重要な役割を果たしている点。一方で、こうした私たちの存在の基盤である生態系や生物圏の破壊を加速させているシステムから私達が一歩踏み出すよう、私たち人類へ呼びかけたいと考えました。

STEP OUT展では、私たちが自然との関係を振り返り、私たちを支える世界との関わり方を再考するよう投げかけています。
